The Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE) management has issued the school price payment deadline for the 2020/2021 academic session. IAUE School Fees Payment Deadline Professor Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele, Vice Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, has graciously given a one-week extension for all returning students (years 2-4) to pay their school fees. The gateway for paying school fees will now close on Friday, June 4th, 2021. This grace period is intended to allow any returning students who have not yet paid their school fees to do so before the new deadline. Please keep in mind that after the deadline, the site will be closed, and late payments of school fees will incur a 50% premium. Returning students are recommended to take advantage of this grace period to pay their fees before the deadline, since there will be no more extensions. The Supplementary Post-UTME Screening Exercise for applicants who sat for the 2020/2021 UTME and have converted to the University’s newly approved programs (i.e. MB.BS, LTT, and PMT) is set to take place on the following dates: The University CBT Centre is located on the Obanla Campus. Candidates who have successfully moved to the new programs on the FUTA JAMB Portal but have yet to register for the Post-UTME Screening on the FUTA website should do so by Friday, June 4th, 2021, when the FUTA Website Portal for supplemental Post-UTME Screening registration will end. Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, the Academic Staff Union of Universities’ (ASUU) immediate past president, has stated that the union will continue to engage the Federal Government on the union’s requests and academic challenges. After the union called off its last strike, the federal government has neglected to execute several of its commitments with the union. Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, who took over as national president from Ogunyemi yesterday, said his successor would continue the union’s purpose where he left off.“My successor was among the final national officers of the union,” Ogunyemi stated in a phone conversation with The Nation. And he’s well-versed in every aspect of our remarkable mission. We have concerns with the government, which, as you mentioned, are not totally resolved.“However, the union has resolved to continue engaging the administration as we have in recent months. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has granted a two-week extension to candidates who failed to finish their registration processes for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) exams, which ended last Saturday. Candidates in this category must “visit any of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board offices (including JAMB operated Professional Test Centres, PTCs) across the nation to complete their registration” during this period, which runs from Monday, May 31 to Friday, June 15. Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the board’s Head of Media and Protocol, announced this in a statement posted Monday morning.
