Babcock produces 82 First Class graduates

At the Babcock University’s 19th undergraduate and 10th postgraduate convocations at Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State, 82 students received first-class degrees. Prof. Ademola Tayo, Vice-Chancellor of the University, described the ceremony as a watershed moment in the university’s history. The university had adopted a phased resumption to get the session back on track despite the disruption caused by COVID-19. According to him, the university graduated 1,660 undergraduates and 419 graduate students. According to him, the Department of Mass Communication produced the overall best undergraduate, Okunola Teslimat, who scored 4.91 on a 5.0 scale, and the overall best postgraduate in the Ph.D. program, Olomojobi Femi, who scored 4.81 on a 5.0 scale. He went on to say that Amarachukwu Peace of the Public Health Department was the greatest Master’s degree graduate overall, with a CGPA of 4.77 on a 5.0 scale. The Vice Chancellor praised the students and the thronging university community on their contributions to the institution’s successes. He stated that the University would continue to strive for excellence while maintaining a sense of spirituality. Tayo urged the graduates to focus on the wholesome principles and characteristics that they gained from the university rather than on the fleeting things. Source : Punch
