The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is a one-year nation-building and development program set up by the Nigerian government for Nigerian Youths.
Participants of this program are called Corps members. They are posted to different states other than their state of origin. The main purpose for this is to enhance unity and give them the opportunity to learn about different cultures in Nigeria.
There are different types of NYSC Certificate.

NYSC DISCHARGE CERTIFICATE
The NYSC Discharge Certificate is awarded to all those who participated in the mandatory one-year program. To be eligible to participate, you must be below 30yrs old, and must have a local or foreign degree.
NYSC EXEMPTION CERTIFICATE
An exemption certificate is issued to someone who is not able to participate in the NYSC program because of age, served with the army, etc. based on the laws guiding exempting NYSC.
NYSC EXCLUSION LETTER
This letter is awarded to graduates who did not attend regular programs in schools, such as National Open University (NOUN), Distance Learning Centres, etc.
It is important to store any of these documents that you have.
This is because many employers require that you have either one of these to gain a role with their organisations.
