Prof Lilian Orogbu was named Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka, Anambra State, yesterday, as Nigerians yearn for the transformation of the education sector at all levels in order to create a formidable nation in all regions.
This was revealed in a statement signed by Prof Orogbu’s personal media assistant, David Abakpa, in which he outlined the process that led to her becoming Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences.
According to the statement, “The astute administrator emerged as the Dean through a keenly contested election which onlookers gave her no chance.”
Meanwhile, the statement said that she (Orogbu) had served UNIZIK in a variety of capacities, including as Head, Department of Business Administration, which she held for five years. She is a woman who has earned many honors and has a long list of achievements.
“As an erudite Scholar, she has successfully supervised 19 Post Graduate students including 4 PhDs. She has occupied the Editorial Position of several Journals including Journal of Business and Finance Management Research and Journal of Social Development.
Prof. Orogbu’s eloquence, teaching, and mentoring skills have won her multiple speaking engagements from respected Training Organizations and Governments from all over Nigeria and beyond, including the prestigious Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria.
She progressed through the ranks as a Business Administrator trainer to become a Professor of Business Administration at Nigeria’s prestigious Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka.
She is Chairman of the Board of the Faculty of Management Sciences, Chairman of the Postgraduate Studies Committee, and Chief Administrative/Academic Officer of the Faculty of Management Sciences, UNIZIK as Dean of a Faculty.
